I was just wondering... I have read The Awakening and Wild Rain, in which the forests of Borneo are a big part to the story, and was just interested to know if you've actually been to Borneo. You've probably heard this a million times, but your writing is absolutely superb. Thank you for the Carpathian series; I really enjoyed learning about the Carpathians and their life-mates, as well as what the Carpathians go through every day of their lives. I have since become a great fan. I have read the complete GhostWalkers, Drake and Leopard Series. I am not a big fan of vampires but I am going to try your Dark Series because you are such a superb author. But I just finished The Scarletti Curse. You blew me away with that one. I know it one of your earlier books but so far it is my favorite. Do you ever consider going back and picking up a series from that one? It is amazing. I just read all 20 books in this series over the last 2 months. They were so great I put an ebook reader on my cell phone so I could read them no matter where I am at. I plan on reading The Drake Series next. i am a 30 year old female and I have always been a literature nut and had my nose in a book since I was 4. In the last couple years I have really gotten into vampires, witches, the supernatural, and all mystical creatures. I really enjoyed spin you put on vampires in The Dark Series. When i was a kid i used to read every day before n after school after dinner while i was grounded any time i could. But then as i got older i couldnt find books that appealed to me so i stpoed reading all together! Sad to say,but true. When i got pregnant with my 5th child( my only lil girl) i started reading again, but the book i was reading was ok not the best. I finished it up and my husband went and bought me Dark Slayer, because i had to take it easy but cleaning wasnt taking it easy, and i couldnt just sit there and watch t.v. As a writer, I can't tell you how jealous and intrigued I am at the pure amount of emotion that emenates from every page that I read. I laugh, cry and get angry as if I were the caracters or a clumsy background shrub or something just kicking back and watching everything going on around me. Creepy, huh? Nah. I just love the realness of your stories. Well, you know...aside from all the freeky cool vampire stuff and further paranormal activity. The very field that I'm trying to shove a story of mine in somewhere. I just wondered if it were at all possible to ask for a few "uber easy" tips about a keeping with a decent plot line and not drifting away from the main point of the story. It would be extremely helpful. My favorite of all your books is the Dark Series. The Drake Sisters are awesome and the GhostWalker Series makes me interrested to learn a little bit more about the hardships of our troops and the loves they have to come home to. The stories are terrific, and I love how you weave real solid life values like integrity, loyalty and community into each story. Lucien was the hardest character for me to empathize with. It was a little disconcerting to find that everything in life was a battle plan for him. I read the book 4 rimes through before I finally understanding the deep humanity in the man. I look forward to more in this series. What happens to Skyler and Dimitri? Does Gabriel ever accept him as a "son-in-law"? And then there is the lone Zachrais De La Cruz-Does he ever find a life mate? Then Rhianon's daughters Branislavia and Tatiana-who do they find? Do the single males manage to take over the master list of psychic woman and are any of them for the single Carpathian hunters? Does Mikhail ever get the "village" of Carpathians he wanted so badly in "Dark Celebration"? Last but not least are the children. Ravens embryonic son, and Savanah's twins. What sex is Sara's baby, and Tempests? Does Desarai get pregnant? Does Alexandria get pregnant? Books about the children growing up, and learning their heritage would be an exciting read as to how each couple becomes parents and the personalities of their children? I have one comment about continuity though, a recent rereading of some of the Carpathian books made me spot than in some, ie Dark Gold it takes four exchanges of blood to change someone whereas in others it is only three. Just thought I would point it out though I am sure others have done so before me. Again I love your writing the deapth of emotion that you can conjure up is so breath taking, especially in Dark Magic, Dark Desire and Hidden Currents, those are my three favourites and the ones I have reread the most. My 1st book was Dark Secret, and then I went to Amazon and Rhapsody Book club to research this series. I Then ordered the back issues starting with Dark Prince. But my absolute Favs are Dark Fire (Darius and Tempest's Story), Dark Destiny (Destiny and Nicolae's Story), Dark Demon (Natalya and Virkinorf's Story). Well, now that I've read Dark Slayer, Ivory is by far my fav female character, Natalya and Destiny runner's up. I love strong warrior-like women who can hold their own or fight alongside their lifemates as equals. Razvan, though, was too much of a wuss in this story to me. My male favs are Gregori, Darius and Lucian. Can't wait for Dominique's story - I hope he's matched up with Joie's sister who was converted a few stories back. When I read this book I was listening to a new album by The Fray and on it there is a track called "Never Say Never". This song is like a soundtrack for the book "Dark Guardian". In it there is a line that he sings that says "I will be your Guardian." And it just seems to fit Lucian and his feelings for Jaxxon so perfectly. And even now after having read several other books I hear those lyrics and am immediately reminded of the story and how intense and beautiful it was.
