Picked up Leopard's Hunt yesterday at the grocery store and just finished it. Absolutely LOVED IT!! I shouldn't be surprised though, every single book in the DARK, Leopard, Shadow Riders and GhostWalker Series I have read. (I guess I have spent a fortune lol ) I have to say, I've had a strong urge to visit the Carpathian Mountains for the past 20 years because of your books. Wanted to ask.... will Maya's sister get her own book, She seems to have a story to tell plus I want to see Maya and Gorya settled with kids in their own happy community they have set up after riding the world of the trafficking scum. My poor Jacques, what a heart wrenching tale. I was so happy when he was found by Shea, a sweet and accomplished surgeon. The suffering you put into this character was unimaginable. His body and mind torn to shreds. I could see him very clearly and he fast became the one I always think about first. I started by reading Dark Fire, Darius and Tempest's love story. I was hooked and immediately went back and found and read the first five books of the series. I have a good majority of the books in paperback, but I have the entire series in Ebook format. I reread the entire series every time I get the newest release. I just finished Dark Memory and can't wait to hear when the next book will be released. I enjoy all of your books in this series, some more than others but that is to be expected. I can’t remember if I started with the Drakes or the Ghost Walkers, but then I went back for all the others!! I’ve been reading paranormal and paranormal romance since I was a teen. I read Christopher Pike back when he was releasing his original books, and LJ Smith before they even considered butchering her books into the TV shows, I remember waiting for each release, these got me started. Your Shadow Rider series, I must say, swept me off my feet. Murder at Sunrise Lake knocked my on my butt! They were so different from everything!! Both series, or not series, have been incredible. I can see more Shadow Riders in the Future, but will there be more of the ladies from Sunrise Lake and the Sierra Nevadas? The most compelling for me is Torpedo Run - how each member of the club comes out the the darkness and finds a way to live and grow with what was done to them and what they have had to do is an education that can be used - even if out the the bounds of my reality. It is a book that brought understanding to me about some of my life's experiences. I enjoyed Recovery Road, yes it's not for everyone but to be honest there are people in this and worse situations. While it's NOT true in my experiences that once a 'victim' you will only attract or be attracted to 'predators'. Often bad relationships can follow especially when you have been abused as a child. Predators know what to look for and many have the mindset that their partners need them in a relationship. It's not true the person who gets abused most often slowly slips into the relationship as the subordinate and doesn't even realise what the relationship becomes until they are drowning in it and many loose so much self confidence that it seems like the only way a relationship works to them. I went from subjection as a child into a relationship with a man who was very gentle and respectful to women at the start of the relationship. He respected women and had been brought up to never hit a woman. Over the years his drinking became worse, we didn't know for a long time that he had diabetes. In the end I was lucky to leave alive with police intervention for my kids and I. I have not entered into another relationship like this nor have any of my children both male and female. I understood this book, yes it brought back memories but it also seemed to answer some of the questions in my mind and released me from the feeling that I was damaged. I truly enjoyed the book it was challenging and insightful. It helped me to stop blaming myself because I felt that my victim character actually caused another person to become an abuser. I do believe that treatment of children during early years can form notions of how life WILL be. It doesn't mean that you have to be abused in all relationships. I had very specific genres that I read and did not stray from those genres. While perusing the romance section in the library I encountered the Dark Prince. It gave enough to intrigue me and I wanted more. Little did I know it was a series as it didn't say and I was years behind. I was happy did not mention vampires as it's not something I voluntarily read. From Feb 27, 2013 to Sep 15, 2013 I had devoured 21 (Dark Lucan) of the Dark Series. I was caught up. It took that long because often I couldn't find some. It was a practice of patience and frustration. Now I had to wait for the newer releases. In the meantime I caught up on all your other series's. Now I am waiting for all the new releases as I've consumed the all. But I have to say, "Dark Slayer" stays as with me. That book was fire!! 🔥. Ivory Malinov is a certified badass. I love a strong unapologetic woman and a strong confident man who is comfortable in his woman's strength. I will be remiss to say I don't still wonder about Razvan. There is so much to explore with him. All his children, how he feels about having children out there, does he want to know them? The impact of what his grandfather did to him and the consequences he has had to endure as a result. We know he met Skylar and his quiet intensity and how he kept his distance understanding the fear she holds that seen him but does do they get beyond that? His relationship with his twin how symbiotic it was can it be repaired. Ah! You see how much questions I got ☺️. I happened to pick up my first CF books at a little book store, in an airport, as I was waiting on my flight (for my next deployment). I started with the Leopards, found out about Sea Haven, then much to my dismay, learned through reading them, the Drake Sisters had kicked off the Sea Haven Series. I hate starting any books part way through and will wait until I have all the previous before I start the one I picked up. I currently just finished the first two Torpedo Ink stories and couldn't put them down. Well I had to for work but couldn't wait to pick them back up! LOL I know that Savages story isn't next in line but I will definitely be waiting for it. In the mean time, the search goes on for your other series, but being in a little bitty town isn't helping.
